What is Traffic Authority?
Before I start with my review, I would like to add that I am not affiliated to this product in any way. Traffic Authority is just one of your usual mlm type products that a lot of people will fall for. Promising riches right from the bat. I am not such a huge fan of mlm because they tend to cost a lot of money to start with and you have to recruit new members into joining the product in order to earn money.
So is Traffic Authority a Scam? It is one of those borderline products that barely past the test, maybe because I have seen so much worse. There are other mlm companies such as Syntek Global that are far more legit and trustworthy because they have actual products to sell.
This is the main difference between a pyramid scheme and an mlm. A pyramid scheme has no products, while an mlm has.
The products inside Traffic Authority
Let’s see if the products of this mlm are of any good. Below I will explain them with you so bare with me.
1) Traffic Packages
This is somewhat going to be the core of Traffic Authority and the driving force of this mlm. There will be different sizes of traffic packages that you can buy. They will range from $220 up to $4297 per package.
Here is the part that does not make sense to me and I am going to take the basic package as an example. This package will cost you $220 dollars and will bring you an average of 180 clicks which means that you will pay around $1.2 for each time someone clicks on your website.
You do not know where that traffic is coming from and to make it worse, they give your referral around 50% commission which means that the actual value of the that package is $120. You almost pay double that for what the traffic is actually worth.
I know that traffic brokering is a legit way to make money, but trying to get 100% profit for traffic is just insane. You can get up to 400-500 clicks if you spend $220 on first tier traffic networks such as Bing and Facebook after a bit of optimizing. The traffic packages are ripping people of and this is the core of this product.
2) Traffic Optimizer (tools)
Price: $27 per month, but unfortunately you need the resellers licence of $20 pm in order to get this one. So in total it will cost you $47 pm.
The traffic optimizer is set of tools that you will get when you purchase this product. You will get a:
- E-mail capture page builder where you can send your traffic to and collect leads
- You will get a link tracker that will enable you to know which pages convert the best.
- A Link rotator that will help you to test the performance of different capture pages.
- Then you get those lousy popups, timers and exit pages that are very annoying.
Good or first tier traffic sources such as Google, Bing and Facebook does not allow popups or exit pages, so this tells me that Traffic Authority is getting their traffic from second tier traffic which mainly consists out of bad quality sources which is another reason why I will never pay $1.2 per click.
3) Traffic Academy
Cost: $97 per month, but you cannot buy it without buying the resellers license and the Traffic Optimizer Tool set and you will need to pay $144 per month total.
Here I am going to be completely honest and tell you that I did not buy the Traffic Academy. What I do know about this product is that you can more training from some of the best internet marketing gurus out there.
The compensation plan
Luckily this product does not have such a complicated compensation plan. The resellers licence goes straight to the owners of this product, but you can get $20 pm commission for the Traffic Optimizer and $70 pm commission for the Traffic Academy. For the traffic packages you will earn around 50% commissions.
It offers the Infinite Leverage system, where you get 50% commission of the products that you promote and your sponsor gets the other 50%. You and your sponsor will get the same amount of commission for your first 6 sales.
Once you have past those six sales, you will earn 80% while your sponsor will only earn 20%. If you decide to promote one of the products, you will need to buy one before you qualify for a commission or you need to sell at least 3 of the products to qualify.
Do I recommend Traffic Authority?
If you are a person that has too much money and does not know what to do with it, then go for it, but otherwise you should stay away especially if you are new. The biggest pitfall for me was the overpriced traffic packages that are just a downright shame to sell it for that high.
If you are thinking about selling one of the traffic packages, then you have no morality and I feel bad for you conscience (if you have any). For the training an tools I cannot say that much either.
My final opinion
I am not a big fan of mlm and you do get companies that are good and other that are bad such as this one. I would rather build my own business around a niche that I love without worrying about scamming people by selling them something I do not believe in.
Luckily there is something that I believe in and it is a training centre that gave me the foundation and knowledge to build a passive income online for myself

Hi there,
traffic authority is a genius idea, but flawed buisness plan at it’s very core. Their business plan requires you to be in the make money niche, and 100% of your clients who are looking towards you as a go-to source of targeted traffic for your clients. If your clients are not in the make money niche, they are say in the diet niche or some other niche like fitness then hard lines..they will be sent far less targeted traffic (perhaps even untargeted traffic) as the entire source of their traffic is dedicated to the make money niche.
In the end, your reputation will take a hit as you send untagete make money biz opp traffic to the diet or fitness niche (for example).
Or you can always turn down a huge commission because your potential client is not in the make money niche.
The business model is excellent if and only if they can provide targeted traffic for a number of popular niches. allowing you to be a true traffic master! and provide targeted traffic to your potential clients regardless of what niche they are involved in.
You have a point there and thanks for mentioning it. I would never buy traffic from a traffic broker because I can get it myself. There are so many place to get traffic from such as Google, Bing and Facebook ads. Some of these brokers will try to make more than 100% profit for each click that they send you.
Hi,
As I read your review, there is one thing that really popped out. You don’t really know where the traffic is coming from. How do we know that the visitors are there because they want to be?
I think I’d have to agree with your recommendation. This probably isn’t the best service available.
You also do not know whether the traffic is associated with your niche or if it is good quality traffic. They are also very expensive because to pay $1.2 per click is crazy.
I can get it for far less if I use Bing or Facebook ads.
Hi Viljoen. I read your review about Traffic Authority, and you provide what a typical MLM product is all about: it takes money to make money. Allow me to add a few MLM companies that relates to Traffic Authority: MonaVie, WakeUpNow, Herbal Life, and Amway. I remember one time I signed up with MonaVie, and my sponsor was said something along the lines of, “It’s best to start now while the company is still young and new” I had to talk my friends and family to join my “downline” only to find out that the only ones getting paid the the ones at the top. It was at this point that I figured that MLMs are not for me. Anyhow, I like your website, and well-put together and informative.
I tried 2 mlm companies in the past and did not succeed with it. My sponsors really brainwashed me into joining and they wanted me to buy all of the products. There is a story of this one guy that had to sell one of his kidneys to join an mlm company.
Hey Viljoen,
I agree with others about not knowing where the traffic is coming from. In my own personal experience i have tried many traffic sources and most are just crap.
Does Traffic Authority give you any idea where the traffic it comes from? Or do they hide it?
I have been burned by MLM business’s before and there always trying to squeeze more money out you.
I have no idea where their traffic is coming from. There are so many different sources to get traffic and it is also a very diverse approach which makes it impossible to pin point where they get their traffic from.
They can also send traffic from more than one place. I will never buy traffic from a broker because I would rather get the traffic myself for much cheaper.
I completely agree that traffic authority products are extremely over priced. I feel they should not allow newbies in to this program without putting a disclaimer saying that this is not for your average marketer.
But from what I see, when I first saw the introduction video i immediately felt like there was a big dark cloud hovering over this program that just didn’t sit right with me. thanks for confirming this feeling.
Just imagine the amount of profit that these guys are trying to make if there is also a compensation plan attached to the traffic packages.
It can easily be more than 100% profit and there is also no way to tell where the traffic will come from. It can be from 2nd tier traffic sources that does not provide good quality.
I got a text from this company today asking me if I wanted to make big money. I watched a program on CNN and the guy said if any online businesses ask you for money up front to start making money then they are full of crap! I am glad you review companies like this because a lot of older people get sucked into believing they can earn BIG MONEY FAST and a lot of them lose their entire savings. I just feel like a real legit company will not ask for money upfront. Thanks again for the review and NO I didn’t give them 10 seconds of my time! ?
You’ve hit the nail right on the head there. If you don’t know where your visitors came from then you don’t know that they are there for a real reason. I would rather have people there because people were interested in my services. That way I would know I would get conversions. Thank you for an interesting review and read.
Seems like some overpaid traffic that basically has no value. If i wanted to get paid traffic then I would definitely go for bing ads or facebook ads, because you can get good results if you know what you’re doing and it costs way less than this scam. This is another product that everyone should run away from!
