What is MMM Global?
In short MMM global is a Ponzi scheme that also runs the form of a pyramid scheme. At first you will be told that it is a social financial network where you can participate in giving money freely to help other people. They claim that they are not a business, bank or an MLM company, but they are far worse than that.
Here is how it works: When you join this program and you decide to deposit $100 to help another person, you will get 100 Mavro. Once you have your Mavro, it will start to grow at a rate of 30% per month. So in your second month you will have 130 mavro and in the third month you will have 169 mavro.
Mavro is the currency at which this whole system functions and once you have the desired amount of Mavro, you can request your money. This is how this whole model works. The more money you deposit to “help” people, the more money you will make.
Where does the Pyramid Scheme fit in?
A pyramid scheme is an illegal business model where participants are promised money for referring other people into the scheme. There is no real investment involved and this model is also unsustainable.
As a normal member you have the choice to refer people to this program. For this you will earn a lifetime commission rate of 10% from all the donations of each member that joined under you. So if your member got $100, you will earn $10.
Then you have the option to become a manager and you need to take a 10 day course to be able to be one. Once you are a manager, you will get the managers bonus where you can create your own multilevel structure (Wait!! Did the website not say that it is not a MLM?). At least a MLM has actual products to sell.
So once you are a manager you will earn 5% commissions from your first level and 3$ commissions from your second level and so forth.
What about the owner of MMM?
The owner is Sergey Mavrodi who is a criminal that comes from Russia and was found guilty for scamming 10 000 investors for $4.3 million. The most disturbing part about it all is that this guy is supported by a massive group of people.
Looks more like a mug shot to me 😉
So many people are saying good things about him, because they are promoting his product. Here in South Africa the people are going nuts about this program and mostly the black population is being targeted by his company. It is a shame because the majority of these people are really struggling to survive.
He already has his company working in over 100 countries and the Philippines are also going crazy. Even Wikipedia admits that he is a scam artist.
Why I call MMM a Ponzi scheme
A Ponzi Scheme is an investment program where the investors will get their returns from the capital generated by new investors rather from the profits. They will always lure people to invest into the program by promising them very high return on their investments.
There are also no products involved in a Ponzi Scheme which means that there is no profit. The money you get from MMM will not come from any profits or whatsoever, but will come from new members that are investing their own money into this program. In order for this program to pay its existing members, they need to recruit new members.
This is why they introduced the Pyramid scheme. This scheme is designed to entice people to recruit new members into the program by promising them a commission from each donation their referrals get. Take a look at Youtube and you will see hundreds if not thousands of people trying to promote MMM.
Is MMM a scam?
Yes it is and I see that nobody is doing something about it. If you are involved with this scheme, then you need to take out your money as soon as possible or otherwise you will lose it all. These schemes never last long because sooner or later it will be shut down by the government or it will become bankrupt.
If you are making money from them at this moment, then good for you, because it will not last long. I hear horror stories of people that invested all the money they had and then lost all of it in their first month. If you are promoting MMM, then you should really think about stopping. Your motive might be good, but in the end you all will lose money.
Stop wasting your time with get rich quick schemes
I know that it can be hard to resist the temptation when facing a program such as this one. Getting a 30% growth each month is equal to 360% growth in a year’s time. That is more than 3 times the initial amount of money you invested.
There is no bank in the world that can compare to this as they give a measly 5% on average per year. If you invested $3333 into this scheme, you would get a return of a $1000 each month. This is also what makes a Ponzi scheme so attractive to so many people because of the high returns that you are getting.
Unfortunately or let me rather say fortunately a Ponzi scheme is not legit in most countries. Making money (especially online) is hard work and takes time to build. It is very realistic to build an income stream of over $10000 per month in over 3 year’s time and some people do it in less than 2 years.
It is possible, but it takes time and a lot of hard work to accomplish. If you are willing to work 2-3 hours per day on your online business, then I do not see anything wrong with you making $6000 per month in less than 1 year on a passive basis. Affiliate marketing is one of the real and legit business models that can do just that.

Quick Update
I did not know that this article would cause such a stir. I have received several hate mails from people swearing at me and also threatening me with violence. Below is a screenshot of an example:
I do not know who this person is but this is just an indication that MMM and some of the people (Please note as I am not saying everyone) that is involved with this company are extremely desperate to make money and would even harm other people to continue with their own agenda.
So mmm global a scam?
They are a ponzi scheme and that type of “business model” is illegal so yes they are a scam. I would not recommend anyone to this scam.
People if that would be illegal then that website would be down already.. next NO ONE is asking you to invest money no one is asking you to register its up to you… next all information is on the website where they tell all the risks.. im not a member of MMML But just dont be stupid.. read before you right something like this and use Comon sense.. what is legal and ilegal..
First of all I do not agree with everything that you say. Just because the website is still active, does not mean that it is not a scam. You get so many scams online and their websites are still up.
Secondly, you need to invest money into the program or recruit people in order to make money, so yes no one can force you to buy into the company and I am extremely happy about it because I will NEVER invest into it.
The common sense here is that it is not a real business and is a ponzi scheme which is illegal and MMM is one of them. If you can tell me where the profit is coming from, then maybe we can have a sensible debate. Even Wikipedia agrees with me and you can read their article on MMM
it is not a business, it is a donation exchange. It is not scam or ponzi scheme. Read MMM Ideology first before you acuse it.
A can tell it comes from JSE he’s got shares there, what next? Am not a member but a know the history.
a person who wrote this information above do not know what is saying about mmm, he’s wasting a time to talk something with no sense, unfortunately he didn’t understand about mmm at the beginning, a scam is company that is using a country currency and promising people high return with a short of period of time, here mmm does not using country currency but only mavro from the name mavrodi, mmm is a system that control participants not a business.
First of all, how can you say that a company is only a scam if they are using a country’s currency. This does not make any sense at all. So if you live in South Africa and buy a product in Dollars then it would not be a scam if you did not receive the product?
Second of all you need to turn your Mavro into Rand value if you want to get any value for it. The reason why it is in Mavro is to let mmm participate in multiple countries.
Thirdly, I think you should know that a business Do consists out of people (participants). If it was not for these people, then how would they make money out of them?
I am a member and they agree they are a pyramid scheme what does it makes it a scam?
If mmm is not a scam then
1. How does mmm as a company make profit?
2. Where does the 30% interest on capital come from?
Where is the 30% increase come from? It is not even a once-off 30% it is monthly. For me common sense says it is foolish to “invest” in something that does not even to explain the origin of the growth!!
I have done my research sir and i would like to tell you that you are wrong because your arguments are based on certain assumptions that you have accepted as part of the system and should therefore never be questioned. According to you, people can only benefit from a system where profits are being generated. That is not necessarily true and i will explain this to. But in order for you to understand i will take you back to certain basics, which are;
1. There is more than enough on this planet that God created for mankind to benefit from and if all is used fairly and equally there will be no rich or poor.
2. Greed is the reason why we have some people who are rich and others who are poor.
3. The system of capitalism perpetuates the gap between the rich and poor because of greed as a certain few people amass all the resources that they don’t really need at the expense of others.
Any talk contrary to this is the propaganda of capitalists.
Now, with these fundamentals in mind, it is very possible if we eliminate greed, to pool all the money(just like the natural resources we have on this planet) together and be able to sustain everyone as long as we ensure steady in flows and out flows of cash. It is very very possible through the use of complex mathematical models as long as you put in mechanisms to limit the tendencies of greed(the root of capitalism). And this is exactly what MMM does. As you know yourself, there is no central bank that collects people’s money. People are simply connecting themselves and pooling their money together and helping each other. You cannot charge the founder with fraud and yes, the governments have not been able to charge him with fraud because he does not hold anyone’s money. The only way this can fail is if(by your own admission) the government just raids them and stops the system which is simply playing bully. You sir, you work for a capitalist establishment and you are simply parroting their instructions. You are singing for your supper and its understandable. The current financial system is under threat and they are jumping right now. If you need another history lesson i can even take you back to the way the banking system started and how fraudulent that system is. But i do not want to write too much. But suffice it to say, the banking system is a FRAUD.
At first I did not want to publish this comment because it was waaaay of topic, but I feel like you shed light on topics where morality takes effect. (please note that I do not consider myself a perfect person when it comes to morality)
Point 1. I completely agree with the fact that there are enough space and resources on this planet for everyone to survive in abundance.
Point 2. Here you say that greed is the number one reason why some people are rich and others are poor. I do not agree with you 100% on this point. Greed however can play a role, but it is not the number 1 reason why some people are rich.
Some people are rich because they work their asses off on their own businesses (maybe because they are passionate about their work). They were not put in this position by other people or stole money from others to get there. Some people work harder than others and they RIGHTFULLY deserve to earn more money.
Point 3. If you do not condone capitalism, then what is you preference? Are you a communist or socialist? Let us say that the 2 of us work for the exact same company doing the same job and gets paid the exact same rate per hour. You have decided to work 100 hours per week and I work only 70 because you have more drive and ambition than me.
After one month both of us get the exact same salary even though you work 30 hours more per week than me. Will this be fair towards you as person? I can also promise you that you will not continue to work more that 70 hours per week if both of us received the same salary.
You might call me a capitalist (Even though I do not like to be labeled) I firmly believe that one should be paid according to his effort.
Now on the other hand!
I do believe that a very small minority (Rothchilds and Rockefellers) are in control of the banking system and that they print money out of thin air to get more people into dept. These people use the occult to own the minds of the majority of people and it is like child’s play to them. I get it, but I do not think that MMM will be the ultimate solution to this problem because it is also printing money or let me rather say “profits” out of thin air.
My conclusion
Capitalism and greed is not the same thing and please do not put the fault on capitalism just because of the banking system. Even if a country endorses socialism or communism, the banking system will still be in place “scamming’ people because a country cannot simply through away it’s debt by switching to another type of social structure.
Most of the people that endorses communism are lazy and wants to piggyback on other people’s successes. Socialism is a more appropriate solution that communism, but most of the time it will become the starting point of communism.
It is very strange that most of the people that are commenting on this article are against the banking system and wants to fix their financial situation with a magic bullet called MMM. If MMM falls away, what did you learn and what do you have to show for yourself. Did you gain any experience or skills with this company?
MMM is just like any other get rich quick scheme promising high return on investment with absolutely no fundamental system in place to ensure a long term income for their users.
The AUTHOR of this post is just a lucky loser…
My Money in MMMGlobal is GROWING 100% per month!
Well thank you very much for your helpful post. I think that a lot of people will benefit from it 🙂
everyone want to earn money so joined mmmglobal not to donate right? If people stop joining? who will donate to the last donators? atlast the last groug of donators will be scammed with endless hope that someone will help them. No income source there.
Hi Viljoen,
I think you have done a good job pointing out the many reasons we should steer clear of this Ponzi scheme. I’m always amazed that people still fall for programs like this. When any program or investment offers interest rates above the normal rates it has to be risky. This is clearly not sustainable and it’s a question of time before it all collapses.
Affiliate marketing looks like a much a better alternative, although it will take time and hard work it is 100% legal and the rewards can be worth the effort.
Thanks for the warning about MMM Global.
Thanks Peter.
Yes people are still falling for this scam. Ponzi Schemes are just not the way to go because there is no products or profit involved. In the end it will dry up and all the people will lose their money.
I heard of many people that committed suicide because they invested their whole retirement fund into a sheme such as this one. It is scary to say the least.
I am in deep s**t I invested a sum of R67000 and Now I am blocked off their system for the last two weeks they don’t even respond to me anymore just becos I didn’t upload my proof of payment in time is there anything I can do legally pls help
So they blocked your account because you did not upload your proof of payment after you invested R67000? This is just crazy man. I am very sorry to hear.I wish I knew which steps to take, but maybe you should see a lawyer or something.
Veljoen am the member u knw why if I want to draw my money accent mavro sy I HV 0000 balance this mmm guys iz nt gud at mmm go with our money yet we don’t HV nthng in our pocket our children are hungry, why can I do to get back my money
Actually, having put in several thousands, and having it returned in 30 days sounds great to me. If 140 Million people around the world are involved, and it doesn’t require new members to sustain itself, I don’t call it a ponzi.
I do call Social Security and the dollar a ponzi, especially since its backed by PAPER, which they electronically print as will.
That’s the biggest ponzi scheme out there, so if ya’ll wanna leave your CD’s, 401k’s, stocks, and bank accounts in dollars you’ll be left high and dry in the not to distant future.
For myself, I’m happy to own precious metals, and obtain my wealth in tangibles.
I know, you think I’m a little off, that’s probably because disinformation like this article will cement you into the dollar by the powers that be…and well, that’s your choice.
You’re big boys and girls and you’ll experience the repercussions of your decisions.
Hi Mr Rich
You actually called the dollar a Ponzi scheme but you call MMM legit? I agree that we are not in control over the value of the dollar, but you cannot simply say that the dollar is a Ponzi Shceme. It is funny how people will call the authorities a scam to justify MMM.
You say that you keep precious metals, but may I ask you this? Can you buy food with metals? Maybe not because you need to exchange your metals for dollars (which is a ponzi) in order to buy food and that is if you live in the US of course.
I am happy that we are all responsible for our own deeds.
I have never heard of MMM Global but it sounds like one of the worst scams out there. It’s appalling to pray on those less fortunate. I know a lot of people are looking for a way to make some extra money or a full time income online. It’s good that you point these schemes out, thanks!
Wealthy Affiliate looks like the way to go. I would love to make 6000 a month. I would donate a lot more of my time than 3 hours a day if that were possible for me.
Merceadez
Hi Merceadez
MMM Global is indeed a ponzi scheme and people are still falling for it. To make $6000 per month with affiliate marketing is not easy, but doable.
I know of a couple of people that joined Wealthy Affiliate and are making $10 000 plus per month just after 2 years of hard work.
well my friend, did you know that 140 Million people around the globe don’t, and its been working just fine for over 5 years.
Better check it out and yes, do your homework. I did, and I spend 5 minutes a day doing a simple task with MMM Global. I’m making more now than working 13 years at my old J.O.B. my friend.
Can sum1 tell me how MMM is scamming people and how it benefits.
I been reseaching bout it and yes the founder was previously convicted of fraud but i don gr how people sharing money withpit him benefitting is fraud.
Am not saying u are wrong i just wat explanation because i searched it coz i wanted to join.
Hi Eunice
This is the whole problem of MMM global. The fact is that nobody knows how much money the owner of this company is putting in his pocket. On the website it says nothing about the “cut” that the company is making.
So I guess that the owner will take a look at how much money he needs to pay to new “investors” and the rest might go into his pocket. It is very hard to say how much of the money MMM is taking for itself.
Howndoes he make profit to give people intrest on their money
He does not make profit and that is the point. The so called “profit” is coming from the money that new investors are investing. It is a never ending loop of shifting money.
I have been using mmm for 10 months now and I am happy, its defiantly a pyramid scheme without the disadvantages, but what financial institution isn’t? Banks borrow you money that belongs to the next customer everyday and charge interest on it for profit, and its acceptable Mavrodi is using the exact same model difference is he is profiting ordinary people. The power lies in the numbers and the money goes into thee accounts of the members, mmm web system only regulates this process. This is simply money rotating amongst members and is the best this ever!
Hi Xolile
It is nice to hear of someone that is actually involved with MMM. I am very happy that you do not have a bad experience with MMM this far. You might make a quick buck here and there with the system, but if you look at the history of Ponzi Schemes, you will realize that they never last long. Somewhere sometime they will hit their limit where they cannot pay the investors their interest back because they are not getting in enough money to cover the interest.
What about those people that have invested all of their life savings and lost it due to this? There will come a day when MMM will fall and I feel sorry for those that has put all of their money into it. I really hope that you are not spending all of your money on this company and please be careful.
I agree with you Xolile Dlamini, MMM is a mutual aid community, where you provide help now and get help later. MMM is not forcing you to provide help. As I said, it is not investment. It is a donation exchange, where people helping each other. Today you help someone, and tomorrow you get help, is that bad?
Then tell me where does the 30% profit comes from? Oh sorry I thought is was only investments that make a profit. It is very strange because everyone is telling me that it is a mutual aid community, because it says so on the website, but nobody could tell me where the 30% profit comes from?
Hi, after reading this text I realize that keeping distance from MMM is the best possible strategy.
But what makes me worried is that you claim the man behind this is a criminal. I do not know details so if he is convicted as a criminal I could accept such a description, but if not then I would suggest you to use some other word.
You write that ‘even Wikipedia admits he is a scam’. You realize that Wikipedia is not entitled to make such statements. Wikipedia is not an authority in criminal justice.
I can go to Wikipedia and write that I am the greatest scientist of this century, so would you take this as fact?
Hi Jovo
I agree that Wikipedia is not the authority when it comes to criminal justice. I only used it as a reference. If you do not believe Wikipedia, then you can go through their reference list to find out where they got the information from.
Let me get back to the criminal statement that I made about the man and I am not going to take it back. Ponzi Schemes are illegal which means that by law it is considered a crime if you run such a scheme. If you are the owner of a Ponzi Scheme then you are breaking the law which then puts you into the category of being a criminal. I am sorry but there is no other way to put it.
Dude the world know he is out and making this things why is he not arrested again? This guy knows laws he once worked for the government he knows what’s up and down. They just don’t have grounds to arrest him
You are wrong on one point. That you have to get referrals to make money. Many of the members do not do anything up to months at a time and still get commissions. Then they withdrew all the money. How can a ponzi scheme oprate effectively this way? You have to be in it to understand it. Also you are anti Ponzi so much that you percieve MMM as such. You are wrong. You are also a marketer yourself so you use this platform to advertise affiliate marketing by debunking MMM. The readers who believe you then look to you as the all knowing internet guru. Then their gullibility takes over. Almost every internet experts does this. Why not join MMM yourself. Also check out MAPS, MPA and LikeXL. These are honest business that are hot right now. I am not selling anything. No affiliate links. Readers do your own research.
Hi Banzava
1. First of all I have to thank you for not threatening me on writing this review. I had to disapprove more than 6 hate comments where some members have threatened me. Of all the other reviews that I have written, this one is the most sensitive of them all.
2. I never said that a person has to refer other people in order to make money from MMM. All they have to do is to invest money into it and then they will get a 30% return rate each month. There are a massive team of people that are getting the referrals and they will then earn a commission. Once these people stop, then the whole “company” will fall and the people will lose all of their money. Because there is no product to generate profit the company is dependent on the investments of these new referrals.
3. Thirdly I am not anti Ponzi. I am anti scam and ponzi falls under this category. This whole website is dedicated in educating people to what the internet is capable of regarding scams and REAL opportunities.
4. I am not a Guru and I do not claim to be an expert that will sugarcoat an opportunity just for the sake of making money. I have done affiliate marketing for more than a year now and I already have several websites up which is making me a passive income online due to the training that Wealthy Affiliate provides. It is something that I have tried and I know it works and it is legit. There is nothing wrong in trying to HELP people so that they can start with their own online business.
5. Either way I do not have the right to force anyone to join MMM or Affiliate marketing. All I do is to give people the information they need and then they have to decide what to do next.
6. If my arguments did not convince you, then please read this article that is coming from SEC.gov Ponzi Scheme which is an authorized entity that is entitled to provoke online fraud.
I don’t understand why you are calling MMM Global a scam…? By definition scam is “a dishonest scheme; a fraud.” In fact this system is probably the most honest I ever heard of. There is no false promises there. Just read the main site please…
I am calling MMM Global a scam because it is a Ponzi Scheme which is illegal. I am sorry but there is no other way to put it.
There are people that make money with it and I am happy for them, but sooner or later the company will fall. Even if you are making money with it at this moment, then it does not mean that it is legit. For example you can make money by selling drugs but in the end you will fall very hard on your face.
People that are making money with MMM Global now are satisfied because of the short term “profit” that they are making. They do not realize that once the marketers that are promoting MMM stops with what they are doing, then they will fall with the company.
History tends to repeat itself and it never ends pretty for a Ponzi Scheme.
MMM is a voluntary donation exchange community. To join MMM, it should be your spare money only which you can donate to someone. MMM doesn’t push you to put all your money.
My question to you now Viljoen, is it against in the law? If not then how come MMM is illegal and scam?
I am very happy that MMM does not push people to put all of their investments into it because I would not. MMM Global is a Ponzi Scheme and Ponzi Schemes are against the law in most countries, so yes MMM is a scam and there is no way around it.
MMM is using kind words such as mutual aid to cover what it really is.
I don’t see negative in MMM as I look at the people that they are very happy because it change their lives and have a financial freedom after they joined in MMM. As far as I know, this is a group of people that helping directly to each other through voluntary donation exchange. Their money directly received to the person who needs help. MMM system just record and compute the growth of their spare money that they donated to someone and when they also ask help they will also receive a donation coming from the participants.
It is sad that no one I know and no reviews I have read addresses the following issue: where does the growth of the “investment” come from. When a person who has “invested” R5000 and is expecting R3.4 Billion in 5 years where will this come from? Bear in mind it is just one person.
Do you think the bank are not a scheme? Bank required depositors and those money will also borrowed by people and given an interest. All interest they got are being use for the salary of the employees and the rest will get back to the depositor interest rate per month.
MMM works only through donation exchange. People is just using the system and without people the MMM don’t work just like the bank. I don’t see any negative or illegal works in MMM Viljoen.
Banks are far from being considered a Ponzi Scheme. Let me tell you what is the difference between how a bank and a ponzi scheme operates. First of all a ponzi scheme needs to have fresh investors that will come from the pyramid scheme in order to pay the interest to the older investors. The return that the new investors does not come from profit but from capital gain.
A bank on the other hand pays the interest back to its investors from the profit that they make from the lenders. Let me show you an example: Banks will get its money from investors and might pay them an interest rate of 5% per year. The bank can take that money and then lend it to a QUALIFIED person that has a good credit record and then maybe charge him 10% interest. Can you see that the banks pays the interest from the 5% profit that they are making?
Banks can also invest some of the money in Forex trading where they can also earn a profit or a loss. The main difference between a bank and a Ponzi Scheme is that the bank pays interest to the investor from the profit that it makes from the lender and Forex. I am sorry but banks and Ponzi schemes are far from being the same.
Thanks
Thanks all posters who have left their good ideas and best suggestion!
One more you could start research and review is
Empire Big Capital
Website: empirebigcapital.biz
From Hong Kong, and running across asia countries!
Hope to see your good review so soon!
Hi Kolab
Thanks for the suggestion. I will do some research on that company to see how they operate 🙂
Everything you have said above is pure assumptions, you have no proof or any solid information all you’ve said is “MMM is a Ponzi Scheme blah! Blah! Blah!”. Nevertheless I know people who have invested amounts of R10 000 and received 30% profit in one month taking that R10 000 to R13 000. The MMM does not force people to participate or to deposit money to anyone and you can leave the community at anytime free of charge, without an explanation and with your money. MMM is kind of a Stokvel because the money circulates amongst its members. Referrals? This is optional you are not obligated to refer people to the Community. What is interesting about MMM is that you have all the information of the person you are depositing the money to, for example Cellphone number, full name, surname, account number, bank name, branch code…etc everything is available to you. you can easily contact the person you are about to deposit the money to, there is no central bank account in which the money flows to, as I have said it circulates amongst its members and you can withdraw the money anytime. In South Africa everyone who joined has receiving the 30% profit as mentioned in the Website…what you should take into consideration is that ALL INVESTMENTS involve risks and profit is not guaranteed, everything is a risk in this world and some risks are worth taking…HOW DO BANKERS MAKE MONEY? Bankers are the richest people in the world, how did they manage to do it? Bankers don’t have their own money, they take deposits from the popoulation at the interest of 5-10% per year and give the same amount to other people at the interest of 20-60% per year.they take the difference between these interests for themselves and consider it as their incomes print the money from nowhere adding zeros in the banking accounts of their clients and call this scam”credit multiplier” so that slaves couldn’t understand it’ll you invest 1000 per month in bank tyms 12 months(how much is that?) its 12000.then they will give you the 10% of 12000,how much is that per yer? Its 1200.this is their thank you to you? Okay, IS MMM LEGAL? Yes, donations between people are legal. There is no contract with MMM or between the participants, there are a peer to peer society transacting amongst themselves…
OK Mr Anonymous. MMM does not operate like a Stokvel because a Stokvel does not make a profit (Only if the group decides to invest the money). Let me give you an example of a Stokvel. Let’s say 10 people form a Stokvel group and they agree to pay R1000 per month into this group. The money will then circulate between the members where each member will receive a one time payment of R10 000 each month. At the end of the 10 month period each member will have his or her initial investment of R10 000 back. The only way to profit from a Stokvel is to invest the money instead of paying it directly to the members. The purpose of a Stokvel is not to make a profit but to quickly get a large sum of money into your pocket.
You are not obligated to get referrals and I agree with you here. I have 2 questions for you:
1. What will happen to MMM Global when the referrals stop in bringing in more investors?
2. Where does the 30% profit come from?
If you can answer these 2 questions then the case is solved.
What will happened if consumer stop buying in a store? What will happened if members stop advertise the affiliate marketing program. Same concept, in order to be sustainable, advertisement is needed, presentations or events.
I agree with you on that one, but the main difference is that PROFIT is being made with stores and affiliate programs. MMM does not make a profit because they say nothing about any investments or products on their website. Where does the profit come from? If anyone can tell me where the profit comes from and prove to me that it is not a ponzi scheme, then I will change my review.
Profit came from donation, it is not a ponzi scheme. Participants are not forcelly to give donation, it simply say that if you give help now, you will get help later equal or bigger that you have given. Everyday thousands of people are learning to use internet, so it is ok to advertise MMM. It is a continues cycle in order to be sustainable. and members are advice to request get help only if they needed it, so everything will be balance for giving and getting help.
I am sorry but I have to disagree with you. The business model that you speak off is not stable. At this moment there might be more money flowing in then what is spent, but somewhere along the line the 2 will be equal. You use the word “donation” but it is not a donation.
The majority of the people will “donate” money just so that they can earn a 30% profit. You might get a few people that do not want anything in return, but the majority will only do it if they can earn a profit. People do not simply just give donations to anyone anymore.
Yes exactly Viljoen,
That is my question too. If i “lend’ someone money, they will obviously use it. where then is it invested, how and by whom?
I have asked people this question, and i still haven’t gotten any answers.
Viljoen Van der Merwe,
You’re not a member of MMM, are you? I don’t think so. So stop talking about something that you don’t know. How much did you loose through MMM? Nothing, so why are you so negative about MMM? If you want to judge it, go in first, loose some money then come and tell us about you experience with MMM. Have you heard that assumption is a mother of all F**K up. We’re all adults and I believe that we’re capable of knowing what we want or what is dangerous. I don’t think we all need you opinion about MMM. I’m a member and so far a happy one. Life is all about risk, even does who trade on stalk they can loose all they money in a matter of minutes. So what is the difference? Leave people to do what they want with they money. Are you Mr know it all? I hope not. Have you heard of KIPI? Go and do a reseach about it as well as it looks like you have nothing interesting to do about you life.
No I am not a member of MMM. Why would I want to lose money first before I know that it is a scam? It is like telling me to put my hand on a hot plate to see if it will burn me. I am not making any assumptions as I explained what MMM really is. You also tell me that we should all take risks and I agree with you accept for the fact that I will calculate my risk before investing any amount of money.
You also tell me to leave people alone so that they can do with their money as they please. This is the worst advise that you can ever give to a person. I cannot force ANYONE to NOT join MMM, but I can at least warn people. People have the right to know what MMM really is and after that they can do whatever they want to.
I am also not Mr know it all and that is why I do my research before writing reviews such as this one.
This is the Story, I put money on MMMglobal, After 30 Days I requested Money for withdrawal, I open my Account on MMMglobal, But my money is Zero Balance, WHERE DID MY MONEY GO? I dont know.. Just be careful guys.. I am still waiting for the Reply of the Owner.. I want my money back.. if you want proof that I join and put money and 30 days after my money is GONE! 0…. R3B.. pls be careful..
Thanks for your warning. I really hope that you get all of your money back and keep us updated on your results.
Wrong. This person is an impostor or do not know how MMM works.
MMM IS NOT A SCAM. i TRIED IT AND I WAS HAPPY WITH THE RESULT. GETTING RICH IS WHAT WE ALL WANT, BUT SOME BUSINESSES ARE SCAM BUT MMM IS REAL, JUST LIKE KIPI, YOU PUT YOUR MONEY TODAY, YOU GET WHAT YOU EXPECTED. YOU GO TO A BANK, YOU PUT YOUR R150, YOU GET R5, SOMETIMS YOU DON’T EVEN GET THE INTEREST. INSTEAD THEY WILL JUST TAX YOU DOUBLE. i SAY PEOPLE SHOULD TRY MMM.
Hi Kate
I am very happy for you if you are making money but just be careful with MMM. Do not invest all of your money into this company because their compensation plan is not stable. You should also not quit your job even if you are making more than what you are earning with your job. I hope you all the best.
You know what’s a scam? Our corrupt governments and banking institutions. The people at the top are making million and sometimes hundreds of millions a year. The Middle Class in North America is getting smaller and smaller, as the cost of living goes up and salaries and wages are only increasing at %2 (if you are lucky). Working your whole life to make other people rich…now that’s a scam! Governments that don’t really represent the people….now that’s a scam! People who work full-time for Walmart need Welfare to supplement their income just so they can feed their children. Meanwhile, the Walton family makes more money than they could every spend in 1 million lifetimes. That’s a scam. MMM Global is a community of people sharing with other people. It’s a beautiful and worthwhile thing. It’s not a Ponzi or Pyramid scheme because you are not asked to invest. You are asked to give.
There is a big difference between investing and giving. When you invest money, you should earn an interest or profit. When you give money, then you should not expect a profit. I will then ask you the million dollar question as to how can you NOT call it an investment if you are receiving a 30% profit?
Just because it says on the website that you will be giving money, does not mean that you are really giving the money. On the other hand if MMM did not say anything about the 30% profit, then I would not have called it a ponzi scheme.
In my opinion, I am not convince with what the author of this blog saying about MMM as Ponzi scheme. I am not a member yet but I plan to join soon. If the author of this blog is questioning about the 30% where it came from, the answer to that is plain simple….It will come from the members! Many are willing to donate their money because they also expect 30% profit from their “donation”. The cycle goes on and on until members does not want to earn money anymore! The question is when?:) I see it as a community for the honest as the money/donation gets directly deposited to member’s account. So what makes it Ponzi???????????
You should rather ask what does NOT make it a Ponzi.
I chuckle each time someone uses the word “donation” in relation to MMM. You sure are you that the money that you donate to a specific person actually reaches that person? Did you call that person or at least asked them whether they received the money that you so freely “donated”?
How does the donator know how much money to “donate” to a specific person in order for that person to earn 30% profit from their investment. The money must go through MMM because how the heck does this company regulate the profits that must be paid to each person?
What if I donated or invested (whatever you want to call it) money to someone and nobody wants to donate money back to me? If MMM did not mention the 30% then it would be another story. You cannot always believe everything that is being said on MMM’s website.
The owner knows that his company is a ponzi and he will do anything to cover it up. He uses sweet words such as “donation” to mislead people.
Again, it’s the community for the honest. As I understand it, the receiver will confirm once he/she receives the money in his/her bank account. The confirmation is done in MMM system(back office). When that happens, you can then sell(ask for help) your position with the 30% profit. So where is MMM there collecting money in that scene? Your question that what if nobody wants to donate(give help or buy your position)? Good question, that risk was clearly stated in the website(honest right?). But I will answer that again with a question, when will the members stop wanting to earn profits from their donation? And you know what’s the answer to that!
I never said MMM is collecting money on the scene. All I said was that they need to regulate the system in order to make sure that everyone get their 30% profit. MMM must be making money somewhere because I doubt whether they are doing this for free. I would never donate money just for the hope that someone will buy my position because I have no control whether I will make the profit or not. I like to take calculated risks.
The real truth Frank is that there is no real profit that is actually being made. Just by donating money for the sake of hoping that someone will buy your position with a 30% profit does not look like something very sustainable.
I want to know how long this MMM has been working. It is obvious that nobody knows where the 30% is coming from but what is more frightening is the fact that it has sustained itself for sometime. How is this possible.
It is because it is a Ponzi scheme. It gets the 30% from people that invest or reinvest their earnings.
Look. I am currently involved in MMM. I’m not proud of it. It’s CLEARLY a ponzi, and clearly gambling which at this point I am doing for a bit of fun. I will not ever recruit others to these things. But it is going with or without me so I decided to make a few bucks possibly..and if not..at least the peer to peer structure allows me to likely help some Indonesian. But how do you not see how the founder makes money? Yes it is peer to peer.. but all he has to do is use his own bitcoin wallets to receive “donations” whenever he wants. You dont know who you are sending your money to. Just a bitcoin wallet address and a name. Trust me… he makes LOTS of money. And one day (soon) this will collapse. It is paying 100% a month now.. not sustainable for long at all. Hopefully people are just risking small amounts of money when they start. And just using profits from there.
Thanks for the comment JC
To get 100% profit a month is just crazy in my opinion. No one will ever know whether Mavrodi is making money, but I guess that he would not create mmm if he does not get a piece of the pie.
I like the advice you give at the end for anyone that wishes to participate in MMM Global.
Each member in MMM have their personal account and contact number Viljoen van der Merwe. How we know? by texting them or sending them a message if they got my donation. That’s all how it works Viljoen van der Merwe. We donate the money to someone who need help. We received 30% growth because we help someone who need help and that is our reward that is given by the system. As the saying said “The more you give the more you received”.
I also chuckled at your comment… seems to me that you really know it all. Go back and study MMM well and maybe you may need to change title of this blog or just bash other program to promote your WA (old same tactic they all thought you at WA) or just do not approve this comment. Your in full control anyway 🙂
Taken from someone that has not actually joined MMM yet, you seem to also think that you know it all. I did enough research about MMM to know what it really is. You say that I bash other programs just for the sake of promoting WA and this tells me that you have not really studied my blog. I do not put bad rep on a product if they did not earned it and if the product was good or legit, then I will say it.
I am not the only one that are making money online with Wealthy Affiliate because there are so many other people that are achieving success with their websites. I have multiple other websites outside of Wealthy Affiliate where I am promoting product in other markets that are not “make money online” related.
If I can recommend a product to someone that I feel that will help them, then I do not feel ashamed of doing it. MMM on the other hand is not on my recommended list.
Hi am from Nigeria and already planed to provide help with #20,000.00 naira to someone and hoping to get 30% increase on my donation, well if I do not get back my money at the completion of thirty days I will not blame the system but the participants, one must be honest and understand what the program is all about. The system can
‘t stop dishonest people and in every business or great programs like this there are risk involve and the only risk in Mmm are the participants nothing more. Man! Don’t jumb into conclusions by calling Mmm a scam you have not convince me at all. There are rules and if you fail to meet those rules there is possibility of you losing your cash. I will advice you to donate without expecting a return or attend their presentations…..stop discouraging people.
Hi Coles
First of all you are planning to provide help with 20 000 naira “hoping” that you will get your 30% profit and if you do not get your money back, then you will not blame the system. I must ask you this: “Who the hell brainwashed you into doing this?” Come on man! let us be real here. By your statement I assume that you have not tried MMM yet, so how can you be so positive that you will make money with it and tell me that I should stop discouraging people?
Now I do not know the value of 20 000 naira, but all I can say is that I really hope it is not all of your savings. It looks like you are willing to defend MMM even if you do not get your money back. You scare me man! Just take it slowly and “test” it before you jump into it with both feet. Take care and I hope you do not lose your money.
30% of profit come from new members. Is that right?
Amongst other things yes. Existing members can also reinvest their money.
Why don’t you try it first as a professional internet marketer if it fails to pay then you have something to tell us.
And the value of 20,000.00 is about 80 dollars USD. You are advised to invest with spare cash and don’t borrow.
I am happy that it is not all of your savings.
Hi Van, I have lost money in 3 binary trading companies (Financika, option24, opteck) all with fake promises and then end up blaming you for mistakes in the end and yet they are the ones instructing you. so why don’t you also go and investigate these companies and tell the world about something that people can come forward and say they have lost money through.Cos I tell you, you will get more people that have been disappointed than you think.
how many people doing mmm have complained of loosing money. If mmm collapsed before maybe they didn’t do their research well and now they went back and sat to come up with something that can continue going round and helping people. I haven’t joined mmm yet but yet to join. I have my doubts because of the money I lost through forex but am willing to take the risk the only motto is not to use all my life savings and mmm seems to me like a good system. the guy is actually very good to have put such a system forward. If you have proof that it’s a scam why not get him arrested why cant the governments do something? It’s because you have no proof and don’t really know how it works. The 30% clearly comes from other participants. It’s like when the bank lends you money, they will tell you how much percentage they want you to pay it back with simple. The members are willing to do that because they want to system to continue. This intelligent guy will not have so many people going through his site and not make money out of it, and won’t think of investing it to make more. He obviously knows what he is doing. my advice is people uses spare money don’t be greedy so that if at anytime the system collapses none of us will cry of which may not happen at all because the system is improving everyday day. If you have an initial amount that you provide help with keep using that and withdrawing your interest, to a point where you may need to increase it especially if your initial amount has already been recovered you have nothing to loose. even if the system collapses, if the amount you provided help with is less than what you have earned from the system, then what is there to cry about. I wish everybody all the best because most Internet businesses a fake to say the truth.
The best teacher is the one with experience….
Viljoen van der Merwe in MMM spare money is required in participating the system (people helping each other through donation). MMM still stand now and then and serve the people who have a kind heart that are willing to participate in the system. Don’t worry we are very happy here in MMM because all of us received 30% growth per month as our reward to help someone. If you think what about if no more people want to donate, it is same as what if in the bank there is no more depositors to deposit. The answer to that situation will be the same. Again and again we take the risk and we understand to it.
Hi Nicko
I agree that there is risk associated with anything in life these days. The whole idea of buying and then selling a position for profit is way over the top for me. You might make money or you might not make money with this. I do not like the risks associated with this because you have absolutely no control over it.
There is nothing that you can do to make someone “buy” your position which makes this a lot more risky. You cannot even calculate your risk with this program.
Man! you are like a man trying to swallow drug on behalf of a sick man, this very man behinds Mmm has made so many people smile and be financially free and you can see those evidence and this has been more than 4 years in the running. now how many of your affiliate programs has lasted this long?
Well Amazon for instance is up and running for more than 17 years now and Wealthy Affiliate has also been up for about 10 years. You simply cannot compare MMM to affiliate marketing.
You point out some really valid points Viljoen. I also had the same questions of where does the 30% come from? How does Mavrodi make money if he gives 30% growth to it’s members per month but yet he doesn’t receive anything in return. But you’ll be suprised however to find in the midst of all those questions and some clarification on the questions from the existing members and from doing my research,I joined as a MMM member. I obviously didn’t use my entire savings or anything like that,I just put in a substantial amount which I’m planning on withdrawing as it’s grown to almost twice my initial investment (I use that word because that’s just how I see it as). I still don’t know how my money grows that fast but that’s okay. At the end of the day it’s every man for himself, you’re also obviously trying to help people by pointing some concerns you’ve researched and found about MMM GLobal and at the end of the day people will do what they want to do with their money, especially if it comes with a big red bow of 30% increase every month. I just feel sorry about those who aren’t careful and invest everything into it because anything might happen and they could loose everything. Anyway I’d like to find out something from you simply because I also havent understood the concept but if Ponzi schemes are illegal why do they exist? Shouldn’t they be immediately shut down or investigated as soon as they launch and raise concern amongst people much like yourself. That’s just what I don’t understand, does the phrase ‘Ponzi scheme’ just simply exist to name anything that seems ‘dodgy’ but then leave it at that and create numerous blog posts about how ‘such and such scheme’ is illegal but then nothing is done about it? I think the illegal thing should be that on realisation that ‘such and such scheme’ could be a Ponzi scheme, certain measures aren’t taken to help get back all the members investments or warn them that that particular scheme is under investigation it would be advised that people withdraw their investments in case something happens, instead of waiting until something bad happens than drastic measures are taken and as you mentioned on your earlier comment people commit suicide. I realise that the government or financial institutions don’t have anything to do with people joining ‘ponzi schemes’ but they’ll be the ones being negatively affected when the country’s citizens loose all. I’m sure my comment seems a bit contradictory especially since I myself have some questions regarding the system,I’m also a member and I also feel that something should be done if MMM is really a ‘Ponzi scheme’,but for now I’ll sit back and enjoy my 30% and if something should happen I’ll be relieved to know that I have my initial investment plus my interest sitting in my savings account generating the little interest my bank account gives me.
Hi MD and thanks for your comment. The thing about Ponzi Schemes is that they are illegal in some countries and legal in other countries. A Ponzi Scheme is a type of scheme that recruits new members to invest money into the scheme. Profit will then be paid out not because of money that was made, but by new investments from new and existing members.
I am happy for you that you are making money from MMM. You will the see that the owner of MMM was convicted of fraud in the past with similar schemes. Thanks for your insight and take care.
Hello VILJEON, Thank you for your advise, review, and the way you have responded back to all the comments, you must be gentle guy.
To be honest I think MMM will slow down at one point because of cash flow problems, but am not sure this can happen in the immediate future but none the less it is not entirely a bad system way.
The way MMM works to ensure sustainability is this:
MMM global controls of cash Flow. what do i mean by that For example before you will be allowed to provide help i.e donation to someone you need to be in a queue which may take up to 2 weeks or more. This allow admin to control and balance cash flow, the MMM mathematical algorithm ensures that at any point in time there is always in enough People in the Provide Help Queue to meet up with the people in the system ready to Get Help.
The good thing about the way it works is that people in PH are not required to make any prior deposit into the system until they are assigned a Get Help. In fact they will pay directly to the person that wants to Get Help. This gives both old and new members a lot of trust in the system and would not find it difficult to reinvest or to invest respectively.
Another MMM system control measure is that all members Providing Help must do so within 36 hours of being assigned a Get Help otherwise their account would be blocked this create a sense of urgency.
VILJEON can you please recommend any better online program.
Hi King and thanks for the comment. It is good that they have a system that regulates the balance of the money coming in vs the money going out, but the fact of the matter is that even if regulation is implemented it does not mean that there will always be a balance between the 2.
My worry is that MMM works in cycles and a position gets more value each time someone sells it. One position can grow so large that nobody can afford to buy it and that is where someone along the line can lose a lot of money. The whole idea of MMM and the history of the owner does not fit well with me.
To get back to your last question, I would suggest that you start your own business where you are in control over the money that you make. It is a lot of work and it is not a scheme. One of the programs that I am willing to share with my readers is Wealthy Affiliate. They will teach you how to start your own online business and how to earn a passive income from it.
“My worry is that MMM works in cycles and a position gets more value each time someone sells it. One position can grow so large that nobody can afford to buy it and that is where someone along the line can lose a lot of money. The whole idea of MMM and the history of the owner does not fit well with me.”
I was just reading and didn’t wanna comment but I feel that I must say this that Viljoen’s research is still lacking big time… I think you should have researched some more before writing this block.
Ok just on the quoted comment above Mr Viljoen, MMM has no positions at all…I don’t know where you get that from. Nobody buys any position…I you need help,MMM system sends your bank ACC details to one OR MORE members to assist you with the amount you need.
Unfortunately you only know this now that I am telling you. The block is already written, that’s ok, negative AD is still an AD, but you can still register for MMM and make a very small donation just so you can have the full knowledge of what you are talking about.
The matter of fact is that I actually do not care whether it has positions or not. I do not need to invest a penny into MMM to know what it really is. My argument still stays the same on the Ponzi scheme part as nobody was able to disprove it for me.
The part of the positions is not from my original blog btw and comes from one of the comments that one of the members tried to “educate” me on the fact that it has positions. Not that is is important though.
Wow such arguments, still left me thinking what is the next step is because I’m planning to join.
Just be very careful with MMM and please do not invest your butter and bread money. Start with something small and allow that amount to grow until you can pay back your initial investment.
What I can say is I’m tied of living hand to mouth. My husband pays almost half his salary to tax about 26000. Then it pains me to still see children in shacks, still being raped, leaving in such poverty stricken areas. While people up there are full of corruption instead of doing everything in their powet to help those children. Instead of driving big cars . If you can help me come with a method to help those people financially so that they don’t always thinking of crime as a way out. Why I’m saying this because my granny of 83 worked so hard still today she still leaves in poverty .Some People who join they feel they are reaching a dead end. If they feel it is helping them . They can do it. Please put other ideas that the simple minded like me that they can do to earn cash so I can support my family. Don’t crash MMM yes you have noted the dangers, put other ideas as well to help the community. Please help If you can tell me how can we as South African can help to raise a child with the smile. Just my opinion
I really feel your pain and I am also on the same mission as you are. I know of a lot of people in South Africa that are doing affiliate marketing where they are earning their money in Dollars. You will notice that the Rand is getting weaker against the dollar and that is where I am making even more money.
Now let us talk a little bit about money. I do not know your financial situation and there was a time when I also lived from hand to mouth. I was a waiter in the past that earned R100 per day from a local restaurant which is equal to $8 per day.
People should realize that there are no shortcuts when it comes to making money and that it takes a lot of work and patience to get to that point where you feel that you are now financially free. You call yourself simple minded and I will not put you into that category because if you are willing to learn and work hard, then you CAN make money.
Avoid get rich quick schemes because they do not last long. I am doing Affiliate marketing which is earning me a passive income online and I never have to worry about losing money. I am not trying to crash MMM just for the sake of it because I have a good reason for my statements. When you go through my website you will realize that I do not crash all the product as there are products that are legit. I really hope that this comment has helped 🙂
If you study how MMM Global works, and then you study how a Pyramid or Ponzi schemes works, you will see that they are nothing alike. A revenue sharing site is far more like a Ponzi scheme. That’s because new members lock their money in and it all trickles to the top. You have to be in a Pyramid or Ponzi scheme for a while before you start making your money back (if you are lucky). Ponzi and Pyramid schemes favor the people at the top, who are being paid by the people at the bottom.
In MMM Global, brand new members make exactly the same amount of money as people who have been benefiting from the system for years. Right now MMM Global offers an opportunity called MMM Extra. If you complete a single 5 minute task a day, you will make 3.33% interest a day. That means you can double your money every month. As a brand new member, I can put $1,000 in and pull it out the next day (with interest) if I want. I can also let it sit for 2 weeks and then pull out $1,500. Or finally, I can wait a whole month and then pull out $2,000. I can then decide if I want to try again. Everyone is in the exact same boat. The system does not favor anyone.
How does the owner make money? I’m guessing he probably has a few profiles in the system. You are allowed to make a max of $10,000/month. If you have two profiles, you would be making $20,000/month. Now regular members are only allowed one account, but I’m guessing he can have as many accounts as he wants. I’m not saying he does, only that who would stop him?
How long will the system work? The system actually benefits people who frequently put in and take out small amounts. For example, you can take out your interest every few days, put it back in, and then make interest on your interest. I know a few people who are making the max of $10,000/month, and they are putting in and taking out small amounts multiple times a day. Now multiply this with 138 million active members. I honestly don’t know if that number is exaggerated or not, but even if its a lot less it doesn’t really matter. Millions of people putting money in and taking money out a day, pretty much guarantees that you will eventually get your the money you are requesting. Plus, the site is growing by thousands of new members a day. All of these new members are desperate to send someone money so they too can be in the system and collect 20% – 100% a month.
Now is there a risk? Absolutely. Nobody knows how long this will keep growing, and if one day we will all wake up and find the site shut down. That’s why I would recommend people try to make a few bucks as quickly as possible and then pull their seed money out. Then they can play with their seed money and they have nothing to lose. This makes your first few days or weeks your only gamble. Is it a gamble? Everything in life is a gamble, and the bigger you gamble the more you could make or lose. That’s why people should never play with more money than they can afford to lose. Nevertheless, I have done my research and figure the odds are way, way, way better than going to the Casino for a night.
Hi Jason
I really like your statement and the tip that you gave about withdrawing your seed money as soon as you made your money back. You really have a good strategy on how to make money with MMM with the least amount of risk possible and thanks for your valuable input.
You say that the website is growing every day and that it has millions of members. The reason for this growth is because of the referral that are promoting MMM. If you are a REFERRAL of MMM then you are taking part in a pyramid scheme. Take a look at the compensation structure as there is also no products involved.
Do you need to take part in the pyramid scheme to make money? No because as a new member you can invest the money and get 30% profit a month when you buy a position.
Can you make money with MMM? Yes you can, but the biggest mistake that people make is that they quit their jobs once they make enough or invest all of their money into the scheme.
How much control do you have inside this system? Absolutely nothing as you are dependent on people investing in the program in order for you to make money. I would rather invest all of my money into something where I have full control and where I do not have to worry if the company should shut down.
The method that I use will enable me to earn a long term income from my investments and work. Thanks again for your input.
Thanks VILJOEN!
About 9 years ago I thought I had a brilliant idea for a dating site. I spent months and months working on the site. I also spent thousands and thousands of dollars on hiring programmers to help me do all the things I wasn’t able to do myself. I was totally thrilled when it was finally finished. I truly believed the skies were the limits.
I then went out and bought or borrowed every book I could about SEO (Search Engine Optimization)and online marketing. I literally spent years studying, researching, and doing everything the books (and websites) told me to do. I eventually acquired thousands and thousands of relevant links and gained a Google page rank of 5. My site was ranking in the top 5 for almost all of the keywords I had chosen to optimize my site for. At its peak, my dating site was attracting thousands of visitors a day and an average of 500 new members a day. I was absolutely thrilled that years of hard work had finally paid off.
And then it all just crashed and burned. For whatever reason, Google’s frequent updates were not in my favor. I guess Google’s evolving algorithm did not smile upon my incredible growth, and my progress was deemed “unnatural” or “not organic”. Although I will never truly know what happened, I spent months watching in horror as my site plummeted further and further in the ranks (eventually reaching oblivion), and all my years of hard work went down the drain. Eventually I lost all my new traffic, and existing members disappeared to busier places. No one was loyal to a sinking ship. Fortunately, throughout it all, I never did quit my day job.
Why am I saying all of this? I guess I just wanted to point out that everything in life is a risk, and even if you own the site and have full control over it, this does not guarantee you will realize success. In fact, sometimes its far more difficult to accept failure or loss when its your business or venture and you have spent days, months or years putting your heart and soul into it.
Hi Jason
Did not know that where an internet marketer before and thanks again for your input. The dating niche is very competitive and SEO has changed a lot during the last 10 years. I am feeling bad that your website has lost its ranking because of the updates that Google made.
With internet marketing there are 3 directions that you can take. You can use Black Hat link building methods where you “manipulate” Google’s algorithm in thinking that your website is of good quality. Then you can use White Hat link building that is a little bit harder to do where you promote your content in such a way where other bloggers will naturally link to your articles. This is also less risky than black hat.
The third method is the one that I am using where I am not even bothering with blacklinks. If someone is finding my articles helpful and they link to it, then good for me. It is very hard to go into the dating niche without building backlinks because it is very competitive. Luckily there are so many other niches that does not have that much competition and the keywords that I target inside my posts has so little competition that makes it easy enough to rank without building a single link.
Building backlinks is very risky especially if you use black hat and even being an employee is a risk because you never know when your boss will get tired for you. The art is to calculate and manage your risk because it does not matter which path you take, there will always be risk. How did you build backlinks back then and which method did you follow?
Viljoen Van der Merwe
I know of 2 people who were trying to claim their money from the MMM but they never get it, and they are da who were encouraging me to deposit atleast R1000 and they say within a month it will be R1300(Rands).
At first i was t same people empted but at the same time i was asking myself where the hell this money is coming from, is this a registered financial provider. I then contact someone i know who is working as a financial advisor at reserve bank, he then suggested that i should not join MMM as it is a Scam and must stop those who r already in. So guys plz there is no short cut in life, i know people believe scams once they are scammed
Thanks for sharing your information. I do not believe that MMM is a registered financial provider and I agree that there is no shortcut to having financial freedom.
To LUYANDA NJIRA TSHEMESE, These 2 people you claimed who never got they money they claimed have no clue what they are doing or are doing nothing about it! I know two people who joined MMM. One joined October 2015 in Cape Town, SA and the second one December 2015. The first one Provided Help (PH) of R20000 and Request Help (GH) of R26000 within the first 30 days. He got orders and people did pay all the money in his account. He showed me and I saw with my eyes so its not a scam. The second one heck Provided Help of R29000 (now thats heck of a risk!) BUT Requested Help of R37700 within the first 30 days. Thats R8700 pure profit plus the original investment back. The person showed me the MMM Back Office orders the person got. When the person Requested for Help of R37700. It took 6 days for all the money to be deposited in the bank account. Also showed me. Now there was one catch. When the person Requested for Help there was more than one orders that will PH this person who requested to get the money. Eg it was split in R10000, 10000, 5000, 5000, 2500, 2500, 2700 making a total of R37700. Sometimes it will be once order or not but it doesnt matter. Now all these people did pay this person EXCEPT this one person who didnt paid the last R5000 for 72hours. You got few days to provide help or you account will get blocked. This person reported that dishonest person who didnt pay R5000 and MMM blocked that person then after that MMM brought another new person who paid R5000 successfully! So what im trying to say is these 2 people you said that never got they money never reported or is lazy to do something about it. Stop claiming its a scam when you cant beat the expierence i had when i saw my 2 people getting cool profits. I started 9 of Jan and Proivded help of R2000 (my spare money) I got my first order after 21 days and paid the person now its growing and i will leave it there because i can take it now if i want but not necessary because i can afford to lose that R2000 but my next plan is to add another R10000 in the future and i will take in and out once a month to minimize the risk. Viljoen, lol you can all say bad things about MMM. It works as long as people are honest and is involved. I dont see it as a ponzi scheme because MMM needs people (investors) in order for it to work, the more the better. You are free to invite people to the system but not necessary. Its important to know there are risk heck every time i login there is always a big warning to remind you the risk! You say you dont want to risk lol at you. So you wont even risk R100 (minimum) to give a try before you change y believs. I guess not cos you are too busy promoting WA. WA is not for everyone but MMM is perfect for everyone because its much more simpler. Imagine everyone doing WA? There would be too much competition someday. MMM will last long until nobody use it or getting shut down. But its running for 4 years and yes remember in the old days the MMM were different than the current one. The older one were like a central account where it quite easy for taxes greedies like zuma to find and bust them. What do they do with these money? Yep take for themselves. Zuma is the biggest scam in this country. Where do you think he got 4bil money to buy the jet? From people that were supposed to improve this country but they dont care right?! MMM is designed to destroy the current financial system like the banks who control the slaves like people to stay in debt and have a difficult live. Yes LUYANDA NJIRA TSHEMESE and Viljoen there are no shortcut in live but i believe things should be fair. No one deserve R2000 per month like people earning in SA. There are so much people out there that are earning much less than they should plus unemployment rate is increasing. There need to be a balance. Lol at your definition between banks and ponzi scheme. banks works exactly like a ponzi scheme. Remember bank are so old and there for years. When banks started they also needed fresh investors to keep going. Remember no people no banks sound like a pyramid scheme structure but in a different way. Yes like you say its incredible sad that banks charge ridiculous interest (lend money) to people who need money (dept) in order to pay interest bank including bank fees, etc. This is not fair. Nobody deserve to live in debts. Banks make huge money and the customer get little return. Speaking of greedies. MMM is doing a financial system that is fairer and should be like that. The banks could make so much money if they can come up with a ideas like MMM but they dont cos they dont want everyone to be rich. Last thing i want to add. Some people are doing multiple passive income streams. I will be using MMM for the money i make from to my other systems like bitcoin, etc that will also allow to make money every month. So if something happens with MMM you got other legitimate places where y can make money. Multiple passive income streams is the way to go.
Hi Sean and thanks for your comment.
You pointed out that MMM is not a Ponzi Scheme because it needs investors for it in order to work. This is exactly the reason why I called it a ponzi in the first place. There is no real profit that is being made in this system that I know off.
Secondly I agree with what you said about risk that there will always be risk involved. The difference between what I am doing and MMM is that I have more control over my risk. In MMM there is absolutely nothing that you can do to even evaluate your risk.
I do not want to go into politics but I also live in SA and know what is going on. This is why I started my business more than a year ago to help people to do the same. I earn my money in dollars and my assets is not based in South Africa which makes it possible for me to run my business from anywhere in the world.
Stop being so arrogant about MMM, on my side its helpful and I encourage people to join it. If you are saying it’s a scam give us an evidence or the victims. We don’t care whether sergey mavrodi is accused in criminals or not but this guy is helpful to many people, I doubt you have a beef with him or there is jealousy in you. Oh again thanks for wasting your time
Hi Kay-lo
I am not even a little bit jealous off Mavrodi. If I wanted to make money with MMM then I could have done it already with their compensation plan. You searched online for a review on MMM and you landed on my article which gives me the opportunity to promote it.
Luckily I am not the type of person that will sell someone a BS story just in order to make money from them. I actually care about the people that land on my website.
The risks are clearly spelt out to everyone, the system yes relies on the willingness of everyone to provide help to those that need it. You provide help with no guarantees of receiving help in return, the system is not unjust the bankers of this world are the ones who prey on the poor, make fortunes out of their hard earned cash. Then as a point of fact your money never goes into the system per se it is a direct peer to peer system, so the owner cannot make a cent because the money never gets passed onto him it is a direct transfer between members. Yes it is a risk but so is investing in stocks currency anything for a matter of fact, people have lost their socks overnight and killed themselves, the one main difference is that the MMM system will never cause you to lose your socks, you may have to wait a little while but you always get your money back. I cannot find a single validated reference anywhere where someone claims to have lost money with MMM. If it is true that he swindled peoples for millions where are their stories? As mentioned prior to this we are free to take which ever risks we want to, no single person is forced into joining and are clearly aware of all the risk involved.
Hi Simon
It looks like everyone that joins MMM has an sense of anarchy in them when it comes to the whole banking system. You also point out the same argument that everyone else is pointing out which gets a bit boring.
Well if only the ideology of mmm can trive and what they asked from members Honesty is observed! They might do better than most Banks and scams! But in our cruel world of hard cash it is hard. Anyway join me let us continue to find out (Link Removed)
LOL I dont know shit about this company but the name of the author don’t match with his language of the article. You can call me racist or whatever, but the person writing and the comments is hiding behind a alias, seems like he makes a living getting traffic from these type of reviews. LIKE I SAID I DONT KNOW SHIT ABOUT THIS COMPANY, JUST READING IN BETWEEN THE LINES.
ny comment might get denied because its true
What does my name have to do with the of this article? Then you also say that this is a fake alias. you know my friend I have nothing to hide and that is why I am showing my face. Most people will not have the guts to do this.
You are now trying to accuse me of stuff that I have no idea off which means that you have nothing solid to say about me except that I am fake or whatsoever. Come on now and lets be real here. Most of you guys are are afraid that your poor ponzi scheme is going to fall and now you are trying to make me look like the fool here.
From my bank to the bank of the help seeker.
in this so called scam. How does Sergey Mavrodi make money?
Mr Van Der Mever, you keep on asking where does the 30% comes from? And I’ve been asking my self the same questions about these social networks creators that have become billionaires in dollars for providing us with free platform to communicate, share and even do advertising through it, where do they get all the money from Facebook, whatapp, Twitter the inventors are super wealthy & we don’t ask about where and how they get their money or call them some kind of a scam , maybe Mavrodi Sagie has created a platform similar to that one with an ideology that will not make someone that is not financially stable to us that little money he or she has to and use it on social networks or banks for that matter but can use it to improve the life, being unable to afford or provide for your loved ones is no joke, all the banks here in SA are against this and are freezing account of MMM members guess why ? No more loans are being taken.
LOL. Maybe is ponzi but you need to know. All website for internet earning dont be a good forever but MMMG work very good and i get every time my money and i already earn very good.
All website is ponzi.. and popular trafficmonsoon is ponzi and it legal…
So why this not legal?
First you need to try something to see how it work.
Before i also belive in that mmmg is scam but when i invest and get first good money i become very happy 🙂
Guys We all need money , yes MMM is too good to be true, Yes where does the 30% comes from but lets try and grab some money without being greedy. Capitec i bank with turns me down for loans though they can see my money salary in and out their account. Just coz im blacklisted means i cant go ahead in life coz i cant get a loan or anything….
I HATE BANKS AND THE BANKING SYSTEM……..I will stay in MMM for now till i reach my financial goal! Then step out 🙂
MMM is a scam people. If you could really sit and think hard about it, you ask yourself about the profit. Where does the 30% profit really come from? This is sad because when it comes to money people get vulnerable. They say all types of negative things just to defend this scam. They hear these points but they don’t want to believe it. Nc Nc Nc!
I wonder how Mmm benefit from this?
For those who are involved what will you if one day u want to log in and u find that the page has been crushed or removed? Think about it guys,
After reading this post. I went out & joined mmm with some spare money. I just gad to see how they were gonna scam me. However i got a shock of my life. Mmm did not take any money from me. I realise that its merely a platform similar to a database that collects & allocates credits (mavros) between internal members that heavily reinvest into the system. If its a Ponzi scheme. Its the best organized i have seen. I also think that it will be around for a while. It operates like a lending servive. Therefore if a person provides help. Be prepared to be helped. I will continue to investigate. The only way to understand is to join it. Other wise assumptions can be made.
Whatever MMM is I don’t care, but for me it has changed my life for the better, today I have a house soon to buy a car with mmm money. When it decides to disappear no one knows when I will just say it has made the difference to me. My money will be still in my account. It is stated clearly”paricipate with spare money”coz you are only helping a member. Don’t remember paying anything into mmm account but only it’s members also this far there are no subscription fees.
Mmm is a great program because it states all the risks before you commit. The only way I think it will collapse is when the greedy gorvenment decides to shut it down because it will make people rich. You need to try it to trust and understand it, stop descouraging people from joining the program. And since you’re a good reseacher I’m sure you already know the answer to your question “where does the 30% come from”. I just bealive it is for making sure the program attracts more people everyday, so it will keep growing. It does change peoples lives and it is wise to make sure you understand the system before making negative comments about it. Most people I know (including myself) don’t trust the program until they try it or realy meat someone that have benefited from it. It is the best I’ve ever seen and it helps us the poor
The 30% interest you see on you mavros it is just numbers the real money comes from the people who are willing put money in the program. Maybe now you will understant that it is controlled by the paticipants who are provinding help and requesting help. How can you stop investing your money where it will grow by 30% monthly? No bank does that. And I know you will say “banks are no Ponzi Scheme” but the real answer is that they are too greedy. I’m going to provide help myself R1 000, but when I first heard about it I didn’t want to associate myself with it because I thought it is too good to be true. But it’s great now that I understand it. I say invest a lot of money now then take it all out, then put the intrest back and watch it grow. And my advise to you is : give it a try, give it some time.
I’m in mmm global. This has been the best program I have ever found and I have been paid 4 times I’ve made more money back then what I put in (link removed).
Yeah, great try John. Trying to spam my comment section in order to get traffic to your website 🙂
MLM like celebrities marriage does not last long.
Thanks for writing this post regarding MMM.. You have the point. Investing money to risky program like mmm is dangarous but will yiel big return if you know how to play. It’s just like gambling but as long as the system is stable enough ,all members are winning as always. It is clearly stated in their website “not to put all your money to thier community. ” Just put your extra money their which you can afford to lose in case the system collapse. I’ve been an active member of mmm philippines community and I can say that all of us got paid. I started 400 pesos their which for me is not a big deal if I lose.fortunately my amount provided their is growing..bank cannot provide such growth of money per month that is why sometimes I need to take the risk and play this game.
mmm is tottaly a bitch ….. and the owner is fully shit .. a kind man like Viljoen van der Merwe giving you some honest advice about this shit you people trying to explain mmm’s good thing? if it is good why you are searching keyword of mmm’s scam ? Or Review of mm? You don’t Deserve To be here Please Leave Earth……Thanks Viljoen van der Merwe You Are The Great Bro
I am agree with viljoen Van your right MMM global might fall and all investor will lose there money. I just joined in the company I thought it is legal and legit but when I do my research I changed my mind you know why because I got scam many times already stupid huh I am not that smart but I do have experienced even MMM global is paying now and you making money for it you donate u get help yes later on the company will be shut down.Hope not cross your finger
Great Article.
However, I feel expectations are misguided when definitively-labeling the structure as a ‘scam’ – a wonderful buzz word.
With expectations in mind, its easy to see right through it,. 30% return is completely unrealistic by relative standards as you’ve mentioned. Adding in that referrals are pulling an extra 10%, the amount to be generated from a capital investment is sizeably unrealistic, especially without a product on the frontlines – it comes from the new members joining.
Ironically, the ideology of donating to help people is essentially a re-distribution of wealth, from others to yourself. The system keeps churning until new members joining slow down, and by that time, some big players will likely cash out.
No doubts about that.
However, in the short term, while growth is rife, those returns are real.
It’s all about managing expectations.
Don’t throw your morgage into it. Don’t throw money you can’t afford to lose, this is basically gambling after all. Like holding onto a golden goose that could explode at any moment – don’t hold on too tight, or for too long.
Cheers.
Surprise, surprise, I know several people who are in this and their withdrawls are on hold…running out of cash? Just gamble ad buy some some lotto tickets. Not much different
Alright, first of all, great article. I read a lot about MMM Global and to me, it is surely a pyramid. I’ve got a friend who invested heaps of his money in it… and got one of his “team” leader to try to convince me to join.
They now both send me messages everyday trying to convince me to join. It is clear that if I join and place 10$ in the scheme, they won’t make any bucks. The “team” leader told me, if you do join, you need to invest at least 100-200$ to make it good for you and for the “helper”.
Now to say if it will last or not, the “team” leader did tell me to NOT invest money that I can afford to lose as they never know when the gov will shut them down.
It is a scam, but it seems to be giving back some good money… if you invest a lot.
I would join but, again, I am not convince about this scheme as the best way to make money. I’d rather prefer to buy Bitcoin from 1 exchange and re-sell it in the other and make a few bucks over this popular volatile currency.
Hello,
Since march 4th any member has not paid by MMM Global. when sending support about GH (Get Help, withdraw money) report due to spamming system will go update. GH will start soon. But there is 1 month cross but any member has not paid. I would like to request you to share your actual view? why this getting late?
Hahhaha, this is BIG scam. First of all, look at the website. Looks like to be professional and legit? Secondly, they don’t have even a phone number or post address for contact. After that, google mmm wiki and you will see the history.
I think why people tend to aggravate about the topic because it is marked as “SCAM”. In my opinion of scam is something that spent without getting anything and that is the general term of “SCAM” for most people.
Regarding this review, I agree that MMM is not a business and shouldn’t be promoted to your friends and relatives. It’s simply because this is not sustainable and not a real business. People who supports and promotes this kind of so called business are the people who doesn’t want to work hard and grow their own business. They only want fast and easy cash.
This kinds of so called “Business” is very popular in the Philippines because of the easy money they will get. Small minded people will not understand what I am talking about. “We all want to get rich but we don’t want the work required to become rich” plain and simple.
Most of the time when people ask me to join this Ponzi Scheme I often told them to get a real life and business and they are pissed. LOL
It’s the reality, MMM is not one of those reality. I don’t care if you earn $100,000 from MMM because at the end I will laugh at you on how many of your friends, relatives and other people will hate you for asking them to join your “Get Rich Scheme”. You will be tagged as a “Scammer” for the rest of your life.
Harsh words but the truth.
@Viljeon Van am so amazed with the way you put your words to answer everyone with their various opinions, judgments, criticisms and many more they threw at you. It takes a man of understanding with deep insight to analyze and see the future when many just continue to walk until they fall into it. Scam or No Scam! What is Wrong is Wrong! Humans are generally selfish, and everyone will get into this scheme for their personal aim, make a 30% profit in a month steadily. question is from WHERE? No one gave a credible answer since but it’s sure certain it’s from new investors/members and people putting in back their money….MMM advised that you to use a cash you can spare, but funny who will use a spare cash, when you’ve the motivating drive and greed to get 30%. You’ll put in your good saving, something big! smiles! don’t fall for the game, it won’t stay long. But if you’re still greedy and selfish, I advice you should know the time to pull out!! God bless!!
I have read this article and the comments and answers.. Firstly I am am member of mmm but have not donated yet.. And they are not forcing me to do it.. Your question ❔ of how would they survive if New people stop coming into the system.. I think if the people already there and has benefited from the system continues to provide aid there would be no need for new people…as for the 30%increase.. Greed comes into ans…for example.. If I donated 10000 and got 13000 increase it then means another member provided the help of 13000 and that’s just why the government can’t call him fraud.. The cash flow is peer to peer.. And the have a limited amount to provide as help… in other to curb.. Greediness and also save their heads.. Call it a Ponzi scheme… it’s ur mindset.. But I think this guy has a great insight and has done his homework really well.. Thanks for the review though.. Only thinkers can get the 30% aspect.. Thank u
hello, I do not know much about all this. I am also a member of MMM. but I know that its a pyramid scheme and that the new comers money is used to pay the earlier comers. I also know that in 2012, Mavrodi said that they will be no more Payouts!!! but this is the world that we are in today. I will eat as much as possible before the scheme becomes bankrupt. which will definetly happen in less than a year. so MMM is a Ponzi scheme, I agree. but no risk no reward. MMM will shutdown soon beware.
Hello Viljoen. Nice article. I agree that they are definitely a scam. They say they are not a MLM and they are correct… because they are a pyramid scheme. It is unsustainable because you will eventually run out of people to market to, and the income source eventually will dry up. And when that happens, the guys at the top take their money and run leaving the guys at the bottom holding the empty bag. It’s sad.
