Morinda Bioactives Review
Company: Morinda
Type: MLM
Products: Tahitian Noni and other healthcare products
Rating: 4/10
What is Morinda Bioactives?
Morinda is a multilevel marketing company and as every mlm company out there it has products to sell and a compensation plan that will be the driving force of all the sales. If there are no products involved, then this business plan would be considered a pyramid scheme.
First of all we need to understand the products before we can head over to the compensation plan, but if you already have sufficient knowledge on the products then you can scroll down until you reach the comp plan section.
Morinda products
The product behind the whole company is called Tahitian Noni which is a juice that comes from the Noni plant. This plant has some great anti-ageing properties that fight A.G.E’s. This is considered a medical breakthrough and can improve your whole personal wellbeing.
It also has other products such as shampoo, cream, nutrient supplements and bags. They also have a product catalogue on their websites for further reference.
Morinda Bioactives Compensation plan
This is the plan that drives the whole sales process and it is this reason why the company grew with 300% in one year. Below is a video of their plan and I will try my best to explain the whole process for you.
First of all you need to enroll as an Independent Product consultant or IPC with a business pack and ID. There are 3 phases that you will go through once you join Morinda’s compensation plan:
1) Establish Phase
This is the first phase where you will mainly sell product directly to your customers as an IPC. The best way to make money within this stage is to get your customers on an auto ship program where they will buy the product from you each month for a discount. This is where your passive income will start. Your commission rate will then be 20% for all of the products that you promote.
Each product that you promote will have a point value and your goal is to reach the 500 point value. Once you have reached this value, you will get a 10% raise on your commissions. Now you will get a 30% commission rate on all of the products that you promote directly to your customers.
Your second goal will then be to reach 120 points each calendar month. If you reach this goal, you will earn a 20% rebate on top your initial 20%. Now you can earn a total of 40% commissions from the customers that month after you have reached 120 points. You will also earn a $50 Silver bonus after you have 5 active customers and 500 points. This is it for the first phase and most people get stuck on this phase.
2) Expand Phase
First of all you need to reach the 500 point base to get to this level and this is where you will recruit other IPC’s to expand your business. Once you have recruited new IPC’s, you will start to earn commissions from their customers as well.
You will get a 10% commission rate on all the sales that your IPC’s make for the first 2 months, which is known as the fast start bonus. You will also earn 20% from their first 120 points each month. This is why it is so important for them to start selling the products. After the fast start bonus you will switch over to another plan which is called the
Unilever plan which I will discuss in the 3rd phase. When your first 3 IPC’s have reached their first 500 points, you will earn a gold growth bonus of $200. So for this period it is critical to train your first 3 IPC’s so that they can start selling the products.
3) Explode Phase
This is the last and most rewarding phase of all 3 and it takes time to reach this phase. In this phase, your primary goal is to help your IPC’s through the Establish and Expand phases. Remember that for the first 2 months you will earn 10-20% commissions from what your IPC’s are making and after that period, they will move to the Unilevel Plan.
Throughout the Unilevel plan, you will then earn 1% commissions from your first generation of IPC’s after their first 2 months. The real money comes from generation 2 and upwards as 1% is not much especially in your 1st generation. You will also notice that there are levels beyond IPC such as Coral and Jade.
For Jade you need at least 4,800 points and you need to enroll at least 3 Corals to qualify.
Will you make money from this compensation plan?
The products from this company is not that bad and I can see that many people will benefit from it. My question now is whether you will make money with this compensation plan? It is always a good idea to look at the stats of this company to get an idea of how much you can make.
As you can see 83.6% of everyone has reached the Coral level and the average monthly income from this rank is around $55 which is very low. Only when you reach Diamond level you will start to see real results. These stats tell me that this company is not for anyone and that most people will fail with it. If you are in that 83.6% then you will make a measly $55 per month.
What is Affiliate marketing?
There must be easier ways to make a passive income and luckily there is. Affiliate marketing is a better way to make money and you can do this online. There is no need to enroll other people into an opportunity to make money with affiliate marketing as you can sell products from affiliate websites.
Affiliate websites are those such as Amazon and E-bay where you can also earn a commission from selling their products. The art of affiliate marketing is through building websites (which is easier than you think) and it is this website that can earn you a passive income online.
There is no limit to the amount and size of the websites that you want to build. You have the potential to earn more than $10 000 after only 2 years. All you need is the right training and support. This is why I recommend Affiliate marketing above MLM.
Hi Viljoen,
Someone I knew was in Morinda business and I was wondering about it for a long, long time. She says the Morinda juice has an unpleasant taste “but you’ll get use to it after a while”… But apparently it tastes (smells) like a vomit? I think I could sell something a little unpleasant taste, but if it’s that bad, I would never like it and wouldn’t be able to sell it to anyone else.
And after I’ve read your review, now I know your income will be extremely low, so I’ll definitely stay away. Thanks for the great info!
Ray
Hi Ray
Thanks for the comment. Wow I did not know that their juice are tasting that bad. I have not tried it myself and if it tastes like vomit, I do not think that I would ever want to taste it.
That is just nasty.
Hi Viljoen,
Whoa that’s a complicated compensation plan they have going there…my eyes started glazing over just trying to understand it!
The problem I find with MLM companies is its all about your downline…eventually you run out of new people to recruit, existing recruits lose faith and drop out and the money dries up.
Affiliate marketing is a much better way, straight commission on direct sales.
Although it takes a lot of work to establish that’s the way I’d be going.

Hi Luke
With affiliate marketing you have full control over your business where with MLM, you are dependent on your downline for success.
Affiliate marketing is a lot of work, but if you do it right, it can make money for you on a long term basis.
Hey Valie,
I liked you post on the morinda bioactives company. I remember I used to try mlm’s and everytime I see these reviews it reminds me of why I left those companies. Do you think you will be able to do a review on MCA, I wanted to know your take on it? Anyways good post man keep up the good work.
Hi there.
Thanks for the comment and I will have a look into it 🙂
Hi, interesting reading, loads to go through. I’ll keep a note of this one.. Nice to see a structured plan in the content for a change. There are a lot of sites out there talking about the concept of making money but never any structured help. Would you say MLM is better than affiliate marketing or dropshipping?
Regards
Jon
Hi Jon
It really depends on the person that will be doing the work. MLM is not for anyone and for me it only limits my earning potential.
But overall I would say, that Affiliate marketing has less risks and much more earning potential than MLM.
I’ve been involved in a few different MLM companies like Isagnix and BeachBody. But I’ve never heard of Morinda! But i’m very skeptical…I feel like it’s very hard to be successful in MLM especially if you live in a small community like I do. Do you think I could do an MLM completely online and do well?
If your MLM company is internationally based, then you can think about going online.
Hello Viljoen, I really liked your website. It seemed honest and informative. I liked the layout and design. I would like to stay in touch as I am new to online marketing and trying my best to learn as much as I can. I am yet to see any income from my websites yet but I am just starting course 3 in the bootcamp and only 3 weeks into the whole affiliate experience. Maybe you can offer some tips or advice for me at this early stage? Best Mark
This is a well researched review of Morinda. I’ve known quite a few people who got involved with multi level marketing companies, and I have never seen anyone make a success out of the venture. MLM can become such a money pit and alienate you from friends and family as you desperately attempt to sponsor people in your downline. You also have to maintain a certain personal volume in order to continue to quality for commissions (this often means spending more money on the product than you want to). Also, with Morinda, you’d have to be a huge believer in and consumer of Tahitian Noni juice, as they offer no other products to market.
Hi Viljoen,
I have never heard of this Morinda Bioactives opportunity but I see that it is MLM and it doesn’t really sink well with me.
It seems kind of shady and screams volumes of pyramid scheme.
Maybe people at the top are able to earn loads with this I but I think i’d steer clear. Thank you for the informative article. It is a solid eye opener.
