Is Anthony Morrison a scam?
Anthony Morrison is the famous internet marketing guru and a “self-taught mogul” as he presents himself on his website. He holds various internet-related seminar tours all over the USA. Although Morrison claims that his seminars are the best in the country, there is a good deal of negative feedback surrounding them.
He also published two books “The Hidden Millionaire” and “Advertising Profits from Home”. He is most famous for his infomercials where he offers people his books that will turn them into a millionaire – for as little as $20.
Success with Anthony Morrison Program offers tips and tricks on how to increase traffic on your website. There are some serious complaints about his work, mostly due to his unethical pricing system.
While at first he promises that the program is ‘free information’– turns out only the introductory part is actually free. The total cost of the whole training program is a whopping $3.995, with additional cost of $19.95 for website cost and maintenance.
Is it a scam? While we don’t doubt Morrison’s capability and knowledge on the subject, we do question where his loyalty lies. Morrison definitely knows what he’s doing and some say he really is a marketing guru, but taking everything into account many people consider it a scam.
Books are much cheaper, though. So, a piece of advice is to buy a book if you want to see how Anthony Morrison program works for you.
The Good and the Bad
Let’s dive into the good and the bad (and the confusing) about Anthony Morrison’s program:
Pros
- Books are fairly cheap
- It’s available to everyone
Since we’ve had little difficulties in naming the good sides, let’s move on to the bad ones:
Cons
- The ‘free’ information isn’t exactly free – it’s presented as ‘free’ to lurk people in
- Information presented seems to be common-knowledge since much of the content is basically available on the Internet
- The system of support for new members is quite limited
- Clickbank banned his program – probably for a good reason?
- There are many complaints and negative reviews regarding Antony Morrison’s products and seminars
Who is it for
His target audience are would-be entrepreneurs, start-up companies and small business owners; but basically anyone who owns a website and needs more traffic is a good candidate.
Although he says that anyone can follow the program, it turns out you need at least some basic knowledge to be able to understand the concepts.
Training and Tools overview
The training itself is comprised of three modules, and the content is presented in the form of e-books and videos combined. The three modules include:
- Email marketing Profit
- Social Media Marketing Profits
- SEO profits
Apart from the abovementioned modules, there are also some additional offers you can choose from, usually created through different affiliates.
Support
Support is also said to be quite weak, especially for new customers. You can’t communicate with or get to Anthony directly. There isn’t much guidance once you buy the program either. You just buy it and you make your own way through.
Price
As you might have noticed, price of this program is the factor people mostly complain about. Is it $7, $17 or $1000? You never seem to know. At first they offer you the lowest price possible, and then if you continue they gradually go up with the price.
On the other hand, if you try to leave, with every subsequent click they will lower the price to make you stay. And so on. You get the picture. But the full price turns out to be $3995.
Will you make money from his program?
I bought his program a while ago and with some of the teachings I was told to spam the web. You should also ask yourself whether the price is really worth it and if it can help you to build a long sustainable income.
The websites that he offers are also a lot of bogus, because it is easy to slam a website together, but to create effective content and to make it rank in Google is a bit more of a challenge.
You also do not know whether the backlinks of the website will actually destroy your chances to rank. If I ever wanted to buy a website, I would rather buy one from EmpireFlippers.com
Want to make money online?
Making money on the Internet working from the comforts of your own home is possible, though. Big time! But you have to be aware of the various spam solicitations and scams. One way that is guaranteed to make you some real money is through affiliate marketing.
You can think of affiliate marketing as commission-based sales. You’re helping someone else sell whatever they’re selling, and whatever goes through you – you get paid. All you need is a good website and some training and guidance.

Ah, poor Anthony and his scams. First of all I don’t really think it’s worth signing up for this program at all if you don’t even get support. Me personally, i would much rather prefer receiving support if I am paying money for an affiliate program. Secondly, for the training, It seems that the tutorials are put together nicely with the combo of ebook and videos but I would prefer video training. Finally, I agree with your ranking of 3/10, although this program seems to have good training… is that why you gave it a 3 just because of the training? Without it i bet it would be a 0.
Hi Billy
I am giving it a 3/10 because it does have products with a bit of quality. There are so many products worse than this one which will not make it fair to give it a 0/10.
Anthony loves to upsell people and that is a major flaw for me.
Thank you for shedding light on this program! I was in search of a way to make money online and encountered many scams and fakes in my time. It seems like this Morrison program costs thousands of dollars and just tells you things you could learn in a book for way cheaper. Morrison may be a genius but you are right that he is in it for the money. My life changed for the better when I found Wealthy Affiliate. It’s not just a great training program, it is also a community of online entrepreneurs that really want to help each other!
Yes Philip I agree with you on this one. The upsells that he has are just crazy and not worth that much. I would not really recommend him because it is all about making money for this dude.
What a really great review. You’ve been really honest here. Have you signed up to it to research it?
I haven’t heard of this particular program but I guess it’s more popular in the US. I hate the sites that just keep upselling constantly! It would be so nice if someone just gave you all these things for free to help – like Wealthy Affiliate does in the first week of registering! At least you have the chance to really look around the site before deciding whether to pay or not!
I look forward to reading more.
Sammi
I did sign up for his training, but I did not last long because of all the upsells. He is a very good marketer, but only to get money out of your pocket.
Does he really care about your success? He really doubt it.
Personally, I think it is a scam. ClickBank banned his program? Well, that is the first red flag I would think. I wouldn’t want to sign up for this program at all with little support. It is essential to be able to get supports, especially for newbies. No matter how good is the product, customer support is important if it is intended to teach and guide its affiliates.
There are a lot programs out there in the market and I can already think of a few that are much better than Anthony’s scam.
I think this program looks too fishy and I wouldn’t want to risk my hard earn money on this program.
Thanks for the heads up anyway.
Yeah I am not a big fan of him either. It really makes me mad when someone tries to upsell me in any other way. This means to me that the person does not really care about your success and they care only about their own wallet.
Success With Anthony definitely seems like a scam to me. High prices don’t necessarily mean something is a scam, but there are some clear red flags with his services.
First, reading the slide about his journey, he uses the term “autopilot”. Second, the program offers lower prices over and over again as you try to leave the page. Third, you mentioned it is extremely difficult to contact him for guidance and support. These are common practices of “make money online” scams.
It’s unfortunate because it gives a bad name to all services out there when there actually are some good ones in existence, like Wealthy Affiliate for example.
The affiliate marketing industry has a bit of a bad reputation to it because of all these scams. It is very sad because there is so much opportunity online and the amount of people that are using the internet are increasing on a daily basis.
I wish that people could see the real potential with affiliate marketing.
Hi, Viljoen!
This is definitely a helpful review of Anthony’s product. What I cannot comprehend is how can one possibly generate more than half a million targeted visitors in 12 minutes!?
Only a paid traffic could perform this feat if you dump in $1000s in a ad campaign.
This really sound like a scam to me.
The statement you just made is so true. It is impossible to get half a million visitors in just 12 minutes with SEO and Paid media.
With paid media you also need to test and tweak your campaign and if you have a winner, then you can scale up. It is just stupid to invest $1000 (If it even was this cheap) to get half a million visitors in 12 minutes time.
I like your idea of thinking of affiliate marketing as commission- based sales, for me I consider any product that I use in my daily life as a potential project, we use unlimited number of products in our daily activities, from soap up to cars, each one of these products is a potential product to promote online.
By publishing my personal experience on particular product; I’m helping my readers by offering them unbiased product review; plus helping the producer of this product to sell more hence to improve his product quality more.
Thank you for this well done review, I enjoyed reading it.
Hi Daria
This is what makes affiliate marketing so powerful because there are over a million products online to write reviews on.
Your conversion rate for product reviews will also be much higher than your more general keywords. The best part is that there are more products being published every day which ensures that the market will never be saturated.
Hi Valie, You have chosen an everlasting topic in internet marketing “online scams” and you put all of information in clear categories so people could understand clearly and could make decision easily. Through your “about me” page, you have showed us that you really have had experience with affiliate business and get the opportunity to continue with your study. You almost gave up on your first trial and now you are making money. This a nice sharing for me and Wishing you all the best in your affiliate future business.
There was a time when I gave up. I think it was after 4 or 5 months that I threw in the towel. After another 4 months I logged into my affiliate account and noticed that I made one whopping sale of $300 and more.
The best part was that i have not worked on that website for a couple of months now and I am still earning a passive income from it. This shows me that the training inside Wealthy Affiliate works and that if you work really hard over period of time, then you will make it.
Well thank god someone came along and did such an honest review. I’m glad you didn’t pull any punches on this. The fact that ClickBank banned him seems to show it’s another scam. I definitely won’t waste any time looking into or trying his training. I can warn other people who want to try affiliate programs a try to stay away from Anthony Morrisons’.
Hi Dave.
Thanks for the comment and I agree. Clickbank is not known for selling good quality “make money online” products, so if a particular product got kicked out then you must know that it is bad.
This is a great article and should be required reading for anyone interested in creating an online business.
I like the way you write and the way you make the reader want to look into Wealthy Affiliate.
Thanks for uncovering this scam before too many people give up their hard earned money.
Hey Viljoen,
Thanks for sharing another dirty scam out there! I’m sure you would save some lives with your post, what i hate about those scammers is, they try to come out with bold and ridiculous claims about their products saying that you will make a lot of money, etc. In the end, they will ask you to pay more and more which contradicts themselves when they say it’s ‘FREE’ at the beginning. They Use psychology to rip people off their hard earn money, just because of their greed…
Samuel
Hi Samuel
Some of the “experts” call this whole process copywriting. THey will use the word free just in order to get your email address.
Once they have your mail, then the selling starts.
Hey! Thanks for your this review! Shame on him! These days, something with bad or average customer review will not be accepted really well. I myself prefer to pay more just to get good customer service!
And for the price of 4 thousand dollars!!! Even if you get some knowledge, you can get from other good sources.
Hi Viljoen,
Were you able to get a refund from the program?
I signed up a month ago and have not had much success with the program, but it is absolutely impossible to find a number or an email address to contact support. I finally sent an email on the page of his advertisement. I was not sure where else to go.
I wish I had found your article, before signing up. 🙁
Many of his products that are selling for thousands of dollars can be purchased for $37 on Clickbank or JVZoo. Just beware.
